Two shot in Chester city

Chester police say they are investigating an incident this morning in which two men were shot and wounded.

Police arrived at the scene in the 1300 block of West Ninth Street at 10:40 and found an unidentified 22-year-old with a gunshot wound of the foot, and a 23-year-old with a hand wound.

Both were reported in stable condition at Crozer Chester Medical Center.

Witnesses said they saw two men in hoods fleeing the area. Police have not yet established a motive for the shootings and are asking anyone with information to call 610-447-7908.
