Warrants issued in brick beating of lot attendant

Arrest warrants have been issued for a man and woman in the serious beating with a brick of a Center City parking lot attendant on April 4.

Arrest warrants have been issued for a man and woman in the serious beating with a brick of a Center City parking lot attendant on April 4.

Wanted are Ronald Moore, 37, of the 6300 block of Reedland Street, Southwest Philadelphia, and Tamika Wilkins, 36, of the 5500 block of Catherine Street, West Philadelphia.

Police allege that Moore, accompanied by Wilkins, beat Asrat Mamo, 30, in the parking lot at 13th and Locust Streets.

A surveillance video shows Mamo sitting outside his booth shortly before 8 p.m. when a woman walked up and talked to him for seven minutes. A second woman then approached with a man, but they stayed only briefly and left.

Moments later, police said, the man returned and hit Mamo in the side of the head with a brick.

Police said the pair fled with $100 cash.

Mamo was admitted to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in critical condition. He has since been released, police said.

A 10,000 reward was posted for information leading to the arrest of the male assailant.

The warrants charge Moore and Wilkins with aggravated assault.
