Man dies in crash after losing control of his car

Philadelphia police are investigating the cause of a crash that killed a 30-year-old man this morning after he lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a pole near 63rd Street and Woodbine Avenue in West Philadelphia just before 7 a.m.

The man was taken to the University of Pennsylvania Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Police did not release the victim's name.
