Worker falls to death from Jefferson Hospital building

A 39-year-old worker slipped and fell to his death today from the roof of an 8-story Jefferson University Hospital building, police said.

The man, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at 10:25 a.m. at the scene at 10th and Sansom Streets, police said.

Police said he was a contractor working on the roof.

An investigation is under way.
