Man shot to death in Nicetown

A 36-year-old man was fatally shot Friday night in Philadelphia's Nicetown section and a search for the killer was under way.

Police said the shooting occurred in the 2000 block of Dennie Street at 5:13 p.m. The victim was shot once in the right side of the neck and once in the right shoulder. He was found in the street and pronounced dead about 20 minutes later at Temple University Hospital, police said.

The shooter fled in a black pickup truck with an open cab, tinted windows, and chrome rims, police said.   - Diane Mastrull
