Havertown man, struck by car Saturday, dies

A Delaware County man has died of injuries he received Saturday after being stuck by a car, police said.

A Delaware County man has died of injuries he received Saturday after being stuck by a car, police said.

Michael Betzala, 58 of Havertown, was attempting to cross West Chester Pike at 9:50 p.m. near the Llanerch Fire Company when he was hit by a car driving south on Darby Road attempting to turn left, police said. The driver remained on the scene and Betzala was airlifted to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Police were informed Betzala died of injuries on Monday. The accident is still under investigation. No charges are pending at this time, police said.
