Fatal crash shuts down N.J. Turnpike

A four-vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Mount Laurel has left several people dead and injured and closed the southbound lanes of the highway.

A four-vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Mount Laurel has left several people dead and injured and closed the southbound lanes of the highway.

New Jersey State Police are reporting three possible fatalities and others either trapped in vehicles or injured.

The accident, which happened about 10:10 a.m. at mile marker 39.9, involved two tractor-trailers, a van and a car, police said. Traffic is being diverted at Exit 7A southbound to Interstate 95 West toward Interstate 295 South.
