North Philadelphia deli owner stabbed

A female deli owner was stabbed in a robbery at her store in North Philadelphia late Saturday afternoon, police said.

A female deli owner was stabbed in a robbery at her store in North Philadelphia late Saturday afternoon, police said.

Police had taken a man into custody an hour later, they said. They couldn't offer details on the suspect, but said the deli owner suffered lacerations to the back of her head and had a broken orbital bone. She was stabbed, police said, during the robbery, but they couldn't provide any additional details on the robbery iself.

Police were unsure how much money the robber had made off with.
