Mob trial jurors end 15th day of deliberations

Jurors at the federal racketeering trial for the Philadelphia's reputed mob leaders asked to review more evidence Wednesday but ended their 15th day of deliberations without a verdict.

Their questions appeared to focus on the defendant at the top of the indictment, reputed mob boss Joseph "Uncle Joe" Ligambi. The panel sought documents related to Top Job, a New Jersey-based waste disposal company where prosecutors say Ligambi held a no-show sales job.

One juror also asked U.S. District Judge Eduardo Robreno if it was proper for him to share with the others his personal recollection of the South Philadelphia produce market where Ligambi's lawyers say he worked.

The judge said he would send a note highlighting jury instructions that say they should only consider evidence introduced during the trial.

Deliberations are scheduled to resume Thursday morning.
