Powerball leaps, $1 million winner in Pa.

Once again, Pennsylvania has come close to winning a Powerball jackpot.

Once again, Pennsylvania has come close to winning a Powerball jackpot.

No one matched all the numbers drawn Saturday night - 10, 37, 40, 46 and 52, with a Powerball of 12 - so Wednesday's jackpot will be worth a whopping $183 million for the annuity, $112.5 million for the cash.

Winning $2 million was a ticket sold in South Carolina, for matching the first five numbers while having the Power Play prize-boosting option.

Winning $1 million each were tickets sold at a Convenience Food Mart on Moosic Street in Scranton, Lackawanna County, and one sold in Ohio.

Last Wednesday, a Powerball ticket sold in Homestead, near Pittsburgh, also hit for $1 million.

Mega Millions jackpot also grows. No one matched all the numbers in Friday night's Mega Millions drawing, so Tuesday's jackpot will be worth an estimated $41 million for the annuity, $29 million for the cash. The numbers were 4, 11, 25, 34 and 35, with a Mega Ball of 44. For matching the first five, a Kentucky ticket will pay off $250,000, while a California ticket is worth $178,000 under that state's pari-mutuel system.
