An investigation into a 2011 hit-and-run came to a close today as a Northeast Philadelphia man surrendered himself to police.

An investigation into a 2011 hit-and-run came to a close today as a Northeast Philadelphia man surrendered himself to police.

Robert Sickman, 26, was charged with D.U.I. and accident involving death in the April 2011 accident that killed a Port Richmond man, police said.

William McCue, 28, died at the scene after he was struck while crossing Richmond Street. The vehicle continued without stopping, fleeing northbound on Richmond Street. Police found the vehicle the next morning. A spokeswoman did not immediately know why it took two years to make an arrest.
