Girl, 9, hurt in Oxford Circle hit-and-run

A 9-year-old girl suffered a broken leg when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver Thursday afternoon in the city's Oxford Circle section, police said.

A 9-year-old girl suffered a broken leg when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver Thursday afternoon in the city's Oxford Circle section, police said.

The girl was in the 6200 block of Large Street about 4 p.m. when she was hit by a white Kia SUV traveling south on Large, police said. The driver, a white female, stopped and got out of the Kia briefly before driving off, police said.

Medics took the girl to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, where she was reported in stable condition. - Robert Moran
