Jenkins tapped for Superior Court seat by Corbett

MEDIA A Delaware County Court judge has been nominated by Gov. Corbett to serve on Superior Court, the governor's office announced Thursday.

Patricia H. Jenkins has served on the Delaware County bench for 20 years since being appointed by Gov. Robert P. Casey.

She received her bachelor's degree in political science from Albright College, her law degree from Dickinson School of Law, and a master of laws degree from Villanova University in taxation.

Before serving as a judge, Jenkins was a partner in the firm of Kassab Archbold Jackson & O'Brien. She is a former solicitor for the county's Department of Human Services, and taught paralegal studies at Widener and Villanova Universities.

Jenkins also serves as a member of the board of overseers of the School of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania, according to the county website. - Mari A. Schaefer
