Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that left a man critically wounded in West Philadelphia Monday evening.

About 6:30 p.m., a 23-year-old man was shot once in the chest and once in the right arm on the 5900 block of Chestnut Street, police said. He was listed in critical condition at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. No arrests had been made, and police did not specify a motive. - Aubrey Whelan
