A Philadelphia high school basketball player critically wounded in a shooting nearly two weeks ago in North Philadelphia has died, police said.

Devin Bullock, 19, and two others were wounded when a gunman opened fire from a car about 5 p.m. April 23 at 25th Street near Thompson Street.

Police said Bullock was not an intended target.

James Cole, 20, was arrested in the shooting over the weekend and charged with attempted murder and related offenses. He is now expected to be charged with murder following the death of Bullock overnight.

Bullock, a senior at New Media Charter in Mount Airy, was a well-liked point guard on the school's basketball team.

In February, he told the Daily News he was estranged from his parents and had an apartment near 26th and Masters Streets, working 30 to 40 hours per week at Foot Locker in the Cheltenham Mall to support himself.
