Bomb threat forces evacuation at Truman High

Truman High School in Levittown was evacuated for more than three hours Friday morning due to a bomb threat, according to police.

Students and staff members evacuated to the nearby athletic stadium after a member of the school community found bomb-related messages scrawled on the walls of the boys' and girls' bathrooms around 8:30 a.m., said Ralph Johnson of the Bristol Township Police Department.

Four bomb-sniffing dogs responded and searched the school for several hours, Johnson said.

Police did not find any explosives, Johnson said. A district spokeswoman said at 12:30 p.m. that the evacuation had ended and the school was open again.
