The Pennridge Greenjackets Pop Warner football team, which pulls seventh- and eigth-grade players from towns miles apart in pursuit of football glory, is just one win away from the Pop Warner Super Bowl tournament after a victory over a New York team on Sunday.

The Greenjackets bested New Rochelle, 26-12, advancing to the Eastern Regional Finals. That game is scheduled for Friday in Watchung Hills, N.J. A win would punch the team's tickets to Orlando for the Super Bowl tournament at Walt Disney World.
Parents of players will likely begin fundraising efforts for the trip - about $1,800 per player - if the team wins on Friday.
