Phila. man, 72, killed by hit-run driver in Lower Merion

A 72-year-old Center City man was killed by a hit-and-run motorist Friday evening in Lower Merion, police said. Huiqing Jiang was walking in the 600 block of Righters Mill Road when he was struck around 6:40 p.m. by a vehicle heading east, Lower Merion police said. The unidentified vehicle left the scene.

A 72-year-old Center City man was killed by a hit-and-run motorist Friday evening in Lower Merion, police said.

Huiqing Jiang was walking in the 600 block of Righters Mill Road when he was struck around 6:40 p.m. by a vehicle heading east, Lower Merion police said. The unidentified vehicle left the scene.

Jiang, of the unit block of South 22nd Street, was found on the roadway by a passing motorist. He was taken to Lankenau Hospital, where he later died.
