The website of the New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority was hacked over the weekend by a group claiming to be affiliated with Islamic State militants.
The site's landing page was replaced with a black screen titled "Hacked by Team System Dz," its text a poorly spelled diatribe expressing support for ISIS and railing against the governments of the United States and Israel.
"Islamic state will restore dignity for Muslims," the post read. "Will purge the land of the Muslims from the hypocrites [sic] infidels."
The tirade also included the sentiments "I love ISIS" and "I love jihad," as well as a profanity directed at both the U.S. and Israel.
Hackers operating under the same moniker last year attacked multiple U.S.-based Jewish institutional websites and were thought to have ties to Algeria, according to the Anti-Defamation League.
It wasn't clear exactly when the CRDA site was hacked, or whether any data was compromised. A CRDA spokeswoman did not immediately return a request for comment.
The website was taken offline for maintenance by 11:30 a.m. Sunday and appeared to have been restored around noon.
