Fire breaks out at 17th and Sansom

Firefighters doused a blaze on Moravian Street between 17th and 18th streets Monday evening.

Officials said the fire started in a second-floor apartment around 5:30 p.m. and was under control two hours later.

The Raven Lounge bar is housed in a space on the ground floor of the Sansom Street side of the building.

A firefighter suffered a sprained ankle at the scene and a police officer was treated for smoke inhalation, but no other injuries were reported.
