Lower Merion home burglary suspect fingered

Fingerprints lifted at a burglarized Bala Cynwyd home led to Lower Merion police to charge a Philadelphia man with the break-in. The man already was jailed for allegedly breaking into two homes in Wynnewood. All the burglaries occurred in June and were part of a spike in burglaries in parts of the township.

Here's some potentially good news for Lower Merion residents who have been concerned about the uptick in burglaries.

The township's Police Department announced Monday that it had made an arrest in one of the summer's home burglaries. Police arrested Clarence Sabre Glenn, a 22-year-old from Philadelphia, and charged him with burglary, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and criminal trespass in connection with the June 6 burglary of a home in Bala Cynwyd.

Glenn already was at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility after being arrested for two burglaries in Wynnewood that also occurred in June. He was identified as the suspect in the Bala Cynwyd incident after investigators lifted fingerprints from the crime scene.
