A motorcyclist is in critical condition after being ejected Friday night during a crash in Harrowgate.

Police said the 33-year-old man was driving a Suzuki motorcycle north on Kensington Avenue when, shortly after 7 p.m., he blew through a red light at the intersection of Sedgley Avenue.

The man hit the passenger side of a 2002 Acura MDX, which had a green light, according to investigators. He was thrown from the bike and landed on the Acura's windshield.

The man was rushed in critical condition to Temple University Hospital, where he is being treated for massive head trauma, a broken pelvis and a broken leg.

Police said the Acura driver, a 42-year-old woman, also received hospital treatment for hyperventilation.
