Police are investigating the murder of a Hunting Park man was shot at a North Philadelphia bar about 1:30 a.m. today.

Police are investigating the murder of a Hunting Park man was shot at a North Philadelphia bar about 1:30 a.m. today.

Peter Lyde Jr., 25, of the 4000 block of Old York Road, was shot once in the chest and found on the sidewalk outside the Pleasures on the Ridge tavern in the 2200 block of Ridge Avenue, said Officer Jillian Russell, a police spokeswoman.

Lyde, a patron at the bar, was pronounced dead at Hahnemann Hospital. There was evidence of an altercation inside the bar, Russell said, and it was unclear if shooting had taken place indoors and what had prompted the violence. No arrests were made.
