An unidentified woman reportedly jumped in front of an eastbound Market-Frankford El train around 3:20 p.m., said agency spokeswoman Sylvana Hoyos. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
SEPTA is providing shuttle bus service for train riders between the 15th Street and Spring Garden stations, Hoyos said. Between those stops, no trains are running.
Service resumed around 6:30 p.m.
