Boy, 5, accidentally stabbed by older brother in Kingsessing

A 5-year-old boy was hospitalized in stable condition after being accidentally stabbed in the chest by his 10-year-old brother Friday night in the city's Kingsessing section, police said.
The older sibling was playing with a carving knife inside a residence in the 1200 block of South Ruby Street shortly after 8:30 p.m. when the injury occurred.
Police took the younger boy to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. No further information was immediately available.
