Bullet crashes through window, injures woman, 72, in S.W. Philadelphia
The bullet bruised her thigh but did not penetrated the flesh, police said.

A 72-year-woman was injured early Monday when a bullet that crashed through a window as she slept in her Southwest Philadelphia apartment, police said.
The woman suffered a bruise to her right thigh and was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for observation.
The shooting occurred about 12:30 a.m. on the 7100 block of Brant Place in Eastwick.
The woman told police she heard a gunshot followed by glass breaking before feeling a pain in her thigh, police said. Officers found a projectile on her living room floor. It is not clear what bruised the woman.
