1 man dead in Kingsessing double shooting
Gunfire erupted about 6:25 p.m. in the 900 block of South 52nd Street.
One man was killed and another wounded in a double shooting Monday evening in the Kingsessing section of Southwest Philadelphia, police said.
At about 6:25 p.m. in the 900 block of South 52nd Street, a 44-year-old man was shot several times in the chest by an unknown assailant. He was taken by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 6:38 p.m.
A 50-year-old man was reported in stable condition at Penn Presbyterian with a gunshot wound to his left leg.
Police reported no motive or arrests.
