Four people — including two 13-year-old boys — were wounded in a drive-by shooting Tuesday night in North Philadelphia, police said.

The shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of North 24th Street near Ridge Avenue, said Chief Inspector Scott Small. The children each were shot in a leg.

Police responding to reports of a shooting in the area found a 52-year-old man who had been shot in the back, Small said. Police took him to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Police later learned that the two boys and a 22-year-old man were taken in two private vehicles to Hahnemann University Hospital. The man was reported in critical condition. The boys were both stable.

Nearby surveillance video showed gunshots being fired from the passenger side of a dark-colored vehicle heading south on 24th Street.
