Man, 23, shot dead in Norristown
Police believe the shooter and victim knew each other.
A 23-year-old Norristown man died early Tuesday after being shot on a city street, authorities said.
Marcus Adams, of Norristown, was found by police at about 11 p.m. Monday, on the sidewalk on the 800 block of Swede Street, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said. Adams, with a gunshot wound to the torso, was rushed by ambulance to Suburban Community Hospital and pronounced dead at 12:11 a.m. Tuesday.
Police didn't disclose a possible motive or suspect in the shooting. But Norristown Police Capt. Richard Clowser called it an "isolated incident," and said investigators believe Adams knew his killer.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call police at 610-270-0977 or the District Attorney's Office at 610-278-3368.
