Burlco man guilty in 2017 fatal stabbing of mother’s boyfriend

A 35-year-old Burlington County man was convicted Thursday in the fatal stabbing of his mother's boyfriend during an argument in 2017.
A jury found William E. Hines Jr. guilty of first-degree murder and related offenses in the death of Scott Willis, 54. Hines is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 8.
Police responding to a report of a stabbing on Oct. 29, 2017, found Willis critically wounded on the bathroom floor of a Burlington Township apartment that he shared with Hines.
Hines was caught the next day. Willis died at Cooper University Hospital on Nov. 4.
