2 boys, 2 men wounded in drive-by shooting in N. Philly

One of the men is reported in critical condition following the shooting at North 24th Street and Ridge Avenue.

Four males, including two 13-year-old boys, were wounded Tuesday night in an apparent drive-by shooting in North Philadelphia, police said.

One of the victims, a 52-year-old man who had been shot in the back and legs, was reported in critical condition at Temple University Hospital, police said.

The gunfire erupted about 9:30 p.m. at North 24th Street and Ridge Avenue, police said.

Arriving officers found the  52-year-old man at the scene.

Police soon learned that a 22-year-old man who also had been shot in the back legs, and the teens, each suffering gunshot wounds to their legs, had arrived at Hahnemann in private vehicles. All were reported in reported in stable condition.

Crime Scene officers found 16 shell casings at the scene, police said.

Investigators were trying to determine a motive and intended target, or targets, of the shooting.
