A 33-year-old Philadelphia man was found guilty Thursday of fatally stabbing his former girlfriend in her Delaware County home in 2016.

Hussain Kiadee, of the 5900 block of Trinity Street in Southwest Philadelphia, was convicted by a Common Pleas Court jury of first-degree murder for killing Fabine Sunny Siryon, 46, in her Darby Borough home.

Police were called to the residence in the 600 block of Darby Terrace on Oct. 21, 2016, and found Siryon dead in her kitchen with stab wounds to her chest.

In May of that year, Siryon had filed a police report stating that Kiadee had threatened to kill her.

Delaware County District Attorney Katayoun M. Copeland said in a statement: "I would like to commend Assistant District Attorney Ryan Grace for his outstanding efforts to bring this case to justice, and Detective Brian Pitts and the Darby Borough Police Department for conducting a swift and thorough investigation that led to the quick apprehension of this dangerous and violent individual."
