The Philadelphia Police Department on Tuesday identified the officers involved in shooting a double-homicide suspect Friday night after a brief chase into Montgomery County.

On Friday, a 42-year-old woman and her 71-year-old mother were found shot to death inside a home in the 3400 block of Chippendale Street in Holmesburg. A 44-year-old man identified as the husband of the younger woman fled into Lower Moreland Township, where he was pursued and then confronted by four Philadelphia police officers.

The suspect, whose name was not released, allegedly pointed a handgun at the officers, who then opened fire and struck the suspect in the right arm. He was taken to Abington Hospital, where he was reported in stable condition.

The department identified the officers as Joe Moore and Kenneth Fazio of the Highway Patrol, and Alfred Fiorentino and Randy Vogt of the Seventh Police District. The officers were placed on administrative duty pending a mandatory Internal Affairs investigation.
