Woman, 26, dead after throat slashed in Oxford Circle

A 26-year-old woman was killed when her throat was slashed during an argument Thursday afternoon in the city's Oxford section, police said.

A 28-year-old man was taken into custody after the attack, which occurred about 1:10 p.m. inside a residence in the 5900 block of Belden Street, police said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. Police recovered a weapon.
