A 37-year-old Mount Laurel woman was charged Friday with vehicular homicide for a November crash in Burlington County that killed her husband.

Tameka Lawson was driving on Hartford Road about 11:15 p.m. on Nov. 12 when her car veered off the road and went airborne before striking a utility pole, said Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina.

Her husband, 38-year-old Jamar Rentie, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, was pronounced dead at the scene. Lawson was transported by ambulance to Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County in Willingboro, where she was released after an evaluation.

Prosecutors charged Lawson after reviewing her toxicology report, the results of which were not made public Friday. Lawson's case will be presented to a Burlington County grand jury for possible indictment, Coffina said.
