It was a tough night out for Temple University students who were attacked and robbed in North Philadelphia Friday night, police said.

At least three men believed to be in their 20s, armed with a black revolver, preyed on several groups of Temple students who were leaving a party on 12th Street near Susquehanna Avenue starting at 11:40 p.m.

The punks robbed at least two groups of students of cash, wallets and cell-phones after the students left the party. Then, at 17th and Diamond streets, another group of students were robbed at about midnight. Police suspect that four men were involved in the later robbery.

All victims were students between the ages of 18 and 21. Detectives checked local surveillance cameras, but no crooks had been arrested.

In a separate incident, a 21-year-old Temple student was assaulted. Police said the man received a concussion from an altercation and was at Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

Tipsters are asked to call Central Detectives at 215-686-3093.
