Three fugitives whose pictures have appeared in the People's Paper have been arrested in little more than a week. That's thanks to two sharp-eyed readers and a fugitive with a guilty conscience.

Walter English, 22, was picked up Wednesday after a reader called in information about where he was staying, in a house on Thomas Avenue near 56th in Kingsessing, said Deputy Robert Clark with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

English, who was pictured in the paper's "Week's Most Wanted" notice on May 31, had been wanted on probation violations and was also a suspect in a fatal shooting on May 20. Clark said English confessed to homicide detectives and was charged yesterday with murder.

The tipster is eligible for a $1,000 award.

On Monday, Leon Mills turned himself in to East Detectives after his picture ran that day.The 17-year-old, also known as "Soup," was charged with attempted murder and related offenses for allegedly shooting a 17-year-old in the head and a 1-year old in the arm on May 23 in Kensington.

Last week a reader's tip led to the arrest May 31 of Brandon "Ozzie" Diaz, who was wanted for allegedly pointing a gun at a cop on April 24 in North Philly.
