School bus crash injures two

Two children were hospitalized after the brakes on a school bus failed and it crashed into a tree on Beechwood Street near Spencer in East Germantown Friday afternoon, police said.

Two children were hospitalized after the brakes on a school bus failed and it crashed into a tree on Beechwood Street near Spencer in East Germantown Friday afternoon, police said.

The bus was carrying five children at the time, and the two who were injured were taken to the Albert Einstein Medical Center.

Police said they complained of neck pain, but were expected to be treated and released.

Information on the ages of the children who were injured was not immediately available.

The Accident Investigation Division was investigating the crash Friday evening.
