3 shot at Christmas party at Vineland church

Police are investigating a shooting that wounded three people at a church in Vineland.

Vineland police said officers responded to a report of shots fired at Saint Anthony's Greek Orthodox Church Hall, located at 310 W. Wheat Road, shortly after 1:15 a.m. Wednesday. A Christmas party had been taking place there, authorities said, and three people were shot.

Police called the incident an attempted homicide but did not provide further details about the shooting. Numerous people were seen leaving the church hall as officers arrived, police said.

Two of the people injured were flown to Cooper Trauma Center and one was treated at Regional Medical Center.

No other information about the victims or their conditions was available.
