Limited Amtrak service resumes between Philadelphia and Baltimore

Amtrak riders between Philadelphia and Baltimore are facing delays this morning.

The agency said at about 6:30 a.m. that limited service was available between the two cities due to overhead wire problems. Earlier, all trains traveling between those locations had been halted.

Travelers should expect continued delays.

The problems affected both Northeast Regional and Acela Express trains, and were caused by downed power lines near Perryville, Md. Repairs are taking place, Amtrak said.
