Mom sought after shooting death of 11-year-old girl

Philadelphia police say a mother is wanted on involuntary manslaughter charges after her 11-year-old daughter was fatally shot by a younger sibling earlier this month.

Police said today that officers were looking for 31-year-old Tiffany Goldwire in connection with the death of her daughter, Jamara Stevens.

Goldwire is being sought for involuntary manslaughter, police said.

Jamara died on April 5, after her 2-year-old brother accidentally fired a gun in their house on the 3800 block of Wallace Street in West Philadelphia.

Police said the children found the gun unsecured. Goldwire was home at the time of the incident, according to police.

Goldwire is described as black, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 200 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She may wear Muslim attire.

Police said anyone with information should call investigators at 215-686-3068, 215-686-3084, 215-686-3334 or 215-686-3335.
