Cops release photo, video in hit-run that injured off-duty officer
An off-duty Philadelphia police officer was injured in a hit-and-run crash in Kensington.
Police said the officer was struck when he was walking on the 2300 block of East Cumberland Street shortly after 2 a.m.
He was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital in critical but stable condition for treatment. Police said the officer suffered a deep laceration on his head.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the officer has not been located.
Police said the striking vehicle is believed to be a black or dark-colored 2010 Ford Taurus. The car is missing its passenger-side windshield wiper and may have a dented hood and damage to the passenger-side windshield.

The car was last seen driving east on Cumberland Street toward Aramingo Avenue.
