Pizza deliveryman shot in Overbrook

Philadelphia police are investigating the overnight shooting of a pizza deliveryman in the city's Overbrook section.

Southwest Detectives said the man was shot as he was making a delivery to an apartment building on the 900 block of North 63rd Street shortly before 1 a.m.

The deliveryman was attacked by two men and shot at least three times, police said.

He was hospitalized and was in stable condition this morning.

The attackers fled from the scene in a vehicle. Detectives don't have a full description of the suspects yet because the deliveryman has been in surgery.

It wasn't known if the assailants robbed the man. A cell phone and pizza box were found at the scene, but investigators haven't determined whether the phone belongs to the victim or one of the attackers.
