Police probe Haddon Heights tire-slashings

Police in Haddon Heights are investigating a series of tire-slashings, the second rash of such incidents in the Philadelphia region this week.

The Haddon Heights Police Department said tires were slashed on 15 vehicles on the 100 and 200 blocks of 8th Avenue. In total, 36 tires were damaged, police said.

The slashings happened Tuesday evening between 11:30 p.m. and midnight.

Anyone who has information can call police at 856-547-2222.

Earlier in the week, Philadelphia police said tires on 59 vehicles were slashed early Monday morning. Those slashings happened on the 5000 block of Hazel Avenue and the 5300 block of Chancellor Avenue in West Philadelphia.
