WEST WINDSOR, N.J. - The family of a Princeton Borough 14-year-old to whose memory the movie
Little Miss Sunshine
was dedicated is suing over her death.
Rebecca Annitto, niece of the movie's co-producer, Peter Saraf, died Sept. 14, 2005, in a traffic accident in West Windsor while returning home from a rowing event with four friends. Annitto appears in the movie as an extra. The vehicle was rounding a turn when it lost traction, went into a spin, and was hit by two other vehicles, police said.
Annitto, who was sitting in the backseat, was the only person killed in the accident. The wrongful-death lawsuit, filed on Monday, claims the town of West Windsor as well as the three drivers involved in the accident were negligent, the Times of Trenton reported for yesterday's newspapers. - AP
