Man, 36, shot to death inside car in W. Phila.

A 36-year-old man inside a Mercedes-Benz sedan was fatally shot in the head last night in West Philadelphia.

Police said the man, whose name was not released, was shot once inside the vehicle at 57th and Rodman Streets shortly after 10 p.m. He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead at 10:35 p.m.

Police last night had not made any arrests. No other details were released. The victim was reportedly talking on a cell phone when he was shot. - Diane Mastrull
