Officials seek cause of fire that killed Abington man

The investigation continued yesterday into a house fire that claimed the life of an elderly Abington man Tuesday.

Monroe Haldeman, 82, the sole occupant of the house on the 1400 block of Osbourne Avenue, was found in a screened-in porch around 12:30 p.m. The building was engulfed by flames. The cause of the fire had not yet been determined yesterday. - Rita Giordano
