Fire destroys Winslow Twp. used-car dealership

Authorities are investigating a five-alarm fire that destroyed a former used-car dealership in a Winslow Township strip mall Saturday night.

Authorities are investigating a five-alarm fire that destroyed a former used-car dealership in a Winslow Township strip mall Saturday night.

There were no injuries in the blaze in the vacant building at 704 White Horse Pike, which was reported at 9:40 p.m. and contained within two hours, officials said. The Camden County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.

The small strip mall is in the Elm section, a rural area of the township, officials said. The area is lightly populated, with a tractor dealership across the road. Other stores in the mall are vacant as well. Officials said the building had been a thrift store before it was a car dealership.
