Judge team is winner at Model U.N. Convention
For the second year in a row, students from Father Judge High School in Northeast Philadelphia won the team championship at the recent annual Model U.N. Convention held at United Nations headquarters in New York City.
For the second year in a row, students from Father Judge High School in Northeast Philadelphia won the team championship at the recent annual Model U.N. Convention held at United Nations headquarters in New York City.
It was the third time in seven years that members from Model U.N. at the Catholic boys' school came home with the title. The honor is decided on the basis of students' position papers, abilities representing designated nations, knowledge of foreign affairs, and diplomatic skills.
The annual competition drew more than 2,300 students from across the country and 17 other nations last month. - Martha Woodall
