Perkasie woman killed in crash on Blue Route

One person died and two were injured in a two-car crash yesterday on the Blue Route, near the Media-Swarthmore exit.

State police said the two vehicles were northbound on the highway around 1 a.m. A Ford Mustang driven by Dustin E. Fraim, 27, changed lanes and swerved into the path of a Ford Escape.

The Escape spun out of control, struck the right guardrail, and flipped onto its roof, killing a passenger, Elizabeth A. Hofsaess, 61, of Perkasie. The driver was her husband, Frederick, also 61, who was treated at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.
